Nitric oxide Lozenges

Has anyone else tried a Nitric Oxide Lozenge supplement such as:
N101
NO2U
Neo40?

The active ingredient being Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate.

After contemplating that nitric oxide has an important role in our energy production, I purchased and trialled Neo40 in the UK.

On consecutive days I got a headache which I now understand is "Nitrate headache" based on another thread yesterday about nitrate medications.

However I had felt a bit better generally so this reminded me of when I was given GTN spray for Long Covid chest pain and I also got a headache yet felt more energy with that.

So the question is, is this a safe way of increasing NO2 and is there a way to mitigate the headaches? I can break the lozenges up into 1/4 doses.

P.s. I have also tried nitric oxide precursor formulas and supplements and had no useful effect from them. Beetroot upsets my gut etc.

@ChrisD - I don't know anything about the efficacy of nitric oxide lozenges, but I have read that humming (!) increases nasal nitric oxide. If you google "humming nitric oxide" there are several hits. I don't know how long the increase lasts or how often you have to do it -

@ChrisD, I can’t comment on the lozenges, but can contribute that “nitrate headache” usually takes from a few days to four weeks to subside. It does subside for most people, but not everyone.

You can take OTC painkillers during this period, but they may not be effective. Otherwise I’m afraid you just have to wait it out.

Starting low is good as always, but if you are going to get the headaches they will happen regardless as you progress to an effective dose, as far as I can tell.
