Ive always been a bit weller with restricting my carbs and high protein.. and now i think i know why.
It appears i have hyperinsulinemia (with the 101 issues i already have, kidding but its getting closer to having that much going wrong in my body!!) and the specialist has told me to have no carbs at all, she told me not to even have potato or a bread roll as she believes my body is releasing to much insulin, overshooting the mark, in response to carbs. Hence basically she said im being poisoned by insulin..
too much insulin she said is dangerous and would be adding to my many issues. If i cant follow this diet, she said i will need sugery if i want to live to a decent age.
My other doctors already have me on a low cholestrol diet due to having quite high cholestrol levels (they go up higher each year)... and to top that off, i have a shoulder injury (impingement and a tendon tear) which just wont heal (surgery was mentioned for that today by another doctor), so i cant cut up things like carrots, pumkin cause of my arm injury.
Anyone got any ideas of things i can eat with the complex dietary requirements?? (i dont like plain salads.. rabbit food.. at all).
