I think it makes a lot of sense, pyruvate dehydrogenase makes Acetyl Co enzyme A which makes most of the energy humans use. Blocking it would explain a lot. Acetyl Co enzyme A also is required for the production of acetylcholine which is required by the brain. Taking Acetyl Carnitine which increases production of acetylcholine seems to be making a measurable brain function difference in myself and appears to involved in things regarding sleep, memory and so forth.what are your thoughs on this finding? is it really promising?
None of this completely proves this is the disease mechanism in ME/CFS, but so far i think the evidence is very supportive of it. More research will be needed to prove or disprove it which is happening now
