Cort,

Although my brain does not usually work as well in the evenings I decided to try making a small change. I added two drugs (midodrine and fludrocortisone) that are commonly used for NMH/POTS. I hope I did it correctly!

I took on the liberty to add plaquenil which is an immune modulator-anti-malarial- anti-inflammatory- I have been taking that for over 13 years. I got sick in the meantime with Me/CFS- and just this last week stopped it in preparation for my visit to Dr Klimas. If I get worse, I would suspect that this drug helped me somehow with keeping inflammation down.

I am also a bit confused with this list because what would you answer if you've been taking a drug from before CFS ?

Thanks Cort. Not sure why you don't have sections for antibiotics and antivirals. Are you listing these elswhere?

Hi Jenny - that was just a list from the researchers - I have no idea why that, of all things, that is not there. I've havent really looked it over - I'll throw it in there - Thanks!

Thanks Kati - I think we should include every drug; there don't appear to be any stipulation against that on the form

I don't know many antibiotics - need some help there. I'm sure I'm missing antivirals and immunomodulators as well

Um...brain fog. I don't know how to add a drug. Clonazapam. Is that on there? Also, the antidepressant Remeron, which is for sleep. It helps me to sleep above anything else.

List of meds from an old (2005-2006) CFIDS Chronicle

I came across this PDF file while searching for something else.

http://www.cfids.org/special/pharma.pdf

Just another resource to check to see if we've missed any drugs that should be on the list. (sorry, I'm not up to doing a cross check myself - :() In fact, time to log off for the day.

I moved Remeron to anti-depressant. I added Bystolic (beta blocker), and Lyrica and Lamictal in the same section as Neurontin. I'm pretty certain that is the correct place.

I'll get my shoeboxes out of the closet then probably add more.

Hi,
I saw one of your posts ref. the disability update form. I got the same form this week and I panicked and wrote all over it. I called them they said just to use white out. My dr. called me back today and
she's writing a letter because my condition hasn't improved and I have many more health problems now. Can you tell me if you had a good outcome after you sent your form in.
Thanks,
Paula

Hi Cort,

I added Medrol (anti-inflam), Toradol (an injectable pain reliever), Low-Dose-Naltrexone, and Niaspan (presciption form of Niacin). Hope I did it correctly.

Added famciclovir (Famvir) to antivirals. Also artesunate, though it's an anti-malarial which I think Cheney uses for its antiviral properties?

I just added so many meds I am not sure I can remember them all. One of them belonged in more than one category. All but one of these are ones I have experience with.

Someone asked earlier about how to add Clonazepam, so I did that for her. IME running a support group for 10 years, that is by far the number one drug people said they could not live without. I wish I could take it, but it is related to quinine and makes me stop breathing.

I also added Clonidine in the 3 categories where it applied (cardiac, anti-seizure, pain), Verapamil ER (cardiac), Liothyronine (hormone), Sucralfate, Ursodiol, Creon, Pankreaze, Zenpep, and Chlordiazepoxide/Clinidium (gastro), and lastly Samento, as an OTC immune modulator. I think that was all.

ETA I just realized I did not know how to do it in color and it said it had to be in colors, sorry. If you want me to change it, please explain how. Thanks.
