That's too bad. I see on the mayoclinic's site that their is insufficient evidence that it is an effective treatment method for bot cfs and fibro, so that's probably a no on insurance covering a portion.

Oh, hell no! Insurance does not cover this. It's an alternative treatment.
The complete study is below.
From what I could find this is the first study to directly test HBOT as a treatment for FM. So at this point in time, it makes sense that insurance won't cover the procedure.
However, the hypotheses looks to be based on some very solid science as far what is known about the mechanisms behind FM and the types of treatments where HBOT is a effective treatment.
The good news is that for the medical conditions HBOT insurance covers the cost.
If this pans out the implications are huge as it might treat the underlying causes of FM.
This looks very promising. Definitely something to keep watching. Unfortunately, it will probably be many years before this becomes an accepted treatment as the study needs to be replicated.
