In the Netherlands we now have 2 social clubs where you can easily obtain medical grade THC oil.
I use 1 - 2 drops at night. It increases deep sleep and decreases my waking up frequently.
Most effective sleep aid for me. No side effects because low dose.

What about tolerance or dependence? That's what worries me most. Someone gave hubby some homemade cbd oil but I'm afraid to try it for those reasons. I'm in a horrific crash and can't sleep.

The threat of dependence with Cannabis is exaggerated.

CBD oil will improve your sleep. If it's homemade it may contain significant levels of THC though. It wouldn't hurt to ask, especially if you lack experience with proper Cannabis. ;)

I know the threat is exaggerated, but I'm extremely susceptible to tolerance and dependence. It only took a week for me to get hopelessly hooked on xanax. And my son did develop a dependence on marijuana, but he was using excessive amounts recreationally. I assume the threat would be much less if it's being used medicinally in very small amounts?

Used ganja and it's products for years recreationally in my youth. The more you take the more you need to take to have similar effects. So yes, there is tolerance to the psychedelics effects building up. But dependence? Only psychological if one is trying to escape or avoid something with it. Similar as with food, TV, etc.

Then short after took my first intensive 10-day meditation retreat. Smoked the last joint after and never looked back. So here you have a quite heavy user (at times) stopping it from one day to the other without any dependence whatsoever.

No way to compare ganja products in any way with benzos, which indeed to cause severe physical dependence.

If it helps you, relieves pain, you'll probably want it very much.

I did, but when I needed to stop using it so I could come here, Japan, it wasn't difficult at all. Well, I had to get used to enduring pain again.

Anyway, If you have CBD oil with minimal THC, it isn't psychoactive or habit-forming in any way. And though I would like to have proper Cannabis to receive all the benefits available, much of what is needed can be obtained from Cannabidiol.

I've been looking at a high CBN low THC product that's supposed to be great for sleep. It's slightly psychoactive, which I'm not too excited about, but I need sleep very badly. I've heard reports that CBD without THC helps people with that, but if you're on the severe end of the scale it could take time and may not help very much compared to normal marijuana. So I'm on the fence. The last time I had insomnia this severe it took 30 mgs of Temazepam to knock me out. Nothing else helped. And I was hooked on it for two years, trying my best to taper the whole time. One of the worst experiences of my life. So yeah. I'm nervous. But I have to try something, and it will have to be pretty powerful and hopefully also not hurt me.

the addiction to THC is in absolute no way comparable to Temazepan. Not even comparable to nicotine or coffein.
I highly doubt that you will actually feel a psychoactive effect with a high cbd and low thc strain.
Even with an high THC only strain you won't end up as an addict.

From years of occasional smoking I will agree any dependence is psychologically based. In my case not really very strong either.
Whenever I see examples of physical dependence it involves combining the ganga with commercial tobacco products that have actually been designed to promote addiction.
All the more reason to broaden the legal availability.

Thank you! That's reassuring .

My friend taking high THC has build up a tolerance but no dependence. I'm taking it only when needed for that reason. No signs of tolerance for me taking it a couple of times a week.

If you run out of ganja you won't turn into a zombie writhing in pain on the floor in sick and dioreah.
:vomit::alien::pill:
You rather just get annoyed and bored.

Yeah that sounds about right. I develop tolerance to every herb I've ever used on a regular basis. It's irritating. I need to build some variety and put several in rotation I think.

I have been using a product called +CDB that my Integrative MD stocks, but you can get it online. It is supposed to be high quality, and has no THC.

Works ok for pain and inflammation, but not a total fix for me. Good for relaxation and anxiety. Doesn't give me crazy dreams. Its not a sleep miracle for me. Seems useful but it is $$$ for what it is.

I use it twice daily.

I unfortunatley never got any effect from CBD only oil, I believe CBD works best with THC, modulating it's effects.
