HHV6 Vaccine Target Has Been Identified

I'm putting this in the viral section. Japanese researchers recently identified a target that will allow them to create a vaccine to prevent HHV6 infection. It can't cure established SEIDs but I believe that this will prevent people from getting SEIDs.

In my case I contracted HHV6 a few months after getting EBV. Both viruses are very similar and block the same molecular targets so they are prime candidates to turn cells into chronically inflammed latent infections, ie. SEIDs. Vaccination would have given immunity to the process. Most people who have EBV alone recover.

I wonder if that was the A variant of HHV-6 you caught? Because almost everyone acquires HHV-6 as an infant, such that nearly 100% of adults are seropositive for HHV-6.

Lab reported HHV6 IGG ABS Quant 5.51, >.99 is pos. So definitely elevated. Didn't differentiate the type.
Five years after stopping GcMAF HHV6 IGG was not detectable.

That could just be a reactivation of latent HHV-6 that you already had in your body since an infant.

Did any ME/CFS specialist diagnose a chronic active HHV-6 infection? You antibody levels do not look that high, only around 6 times higher than the threshold for positive.

Yes after 4 months on GcMAF. No at 5 years.

Giving this a bump. There are some viruses I just don't think you can make a vaccine for.
I do think we will get treatments good enough where even latent virus can be eradicated.

and yes, when herpes viruses start to get completed eradicated from hhv1-8 and whatever others; hepatitis, JC and BK virus so many diseases are going to go away. I'd be willing to bet most autoimmune disorders are caused by viruses (especially EBV because of B-Cell infection which are antibody-producing cells).
