HeartMath - anyone tell me if its helped them, and what the costs are ?

My doctor mentioned HeartMath today.
A quick search online and I find a device which costs about $100, and another one, $149.
I see some on Ebay too.

Also, you have to buy an App for your phone right ?

Anyone got any comments on it ?

I bought one a year or so ago. It didn't seem to have the effect desired.

I think because my autonomic system is messed up, the breathing of 6 in 6 out didn't work so well, just felt wrong.

When I got it ~1,5yrs ago, the app was for free (since you could only use it with the device)
