has anyone used braintap?

my specialist recommended braintap as a potent tool to help rewire my brain/nervous system and stop the fight or flight loop i'm so obviously stuck in. i thought it was just a downloadable audio file but it seems to be a special light/sound headset and it's pricey. if i can find good feedback it's worth the investment so i'd love real life experience if anyone has it...

wow! is your friend using the full headphone/visor setup? i can't afford that right now so i've just subscribed to the app with sound/music that i listen to with my humble earbuds but i doubt that's nearly as potent. can you get more details on what setup this person used? i'm a bit overwhelmed just with the sound app, there are hundreds of sound files and 'programs'. it's almost too intimidating to know where to start or what to use, so i don't use it often

Yeah, my friend Natalie was VERY sick. We were introduced last year through our lyme therapist, online of course since we are/were both bedridden. She had 24/7 care for being bedridden 6 years after lyme treatments failed. Could not even communicate with me most of last year. Was bottle fed many times. Ummm….she just sent me pictures of her eating pizza with her friend at a restaurant :jaw-drop::jaw-drop::jaw-drop::jaw-drop::jaw-drop::jaw-drop::jaw-drop::jaw-drop:

I am in shock. She tried EVERYTHING. Spent $40,000 on treatments just the past few years, nothing. Anyways, she said its a combo of neural retraining, LDN, braintap and adrenal herbs but shes like out of bed. out her wheelchair. She had not left her house in THREE years :wide-eyed:

She told me she uses the headset at her chiropractors office, since she can now leave the house, go to appointments etc again. But she said she feels its been one of the most helpful of all.

I am a bit concerned too about lights but she said once LDN helped calm her system she does just fine with it. She had really bad light/sound sensitivity too.

Anyways, who know but maybe see if some practioners around you have one? That's what I am doing.

Specialist has probably got shares in the company..........
naw, he's just throwing every possible solution at me because nothing is working lol. he's always staying up on research and options, and since i have some brain/nervous system issues this looked like a good possibility. he mentions all kinds of things to me and i'm usually the guinea pig :)

ok now i'm doubly interested, wow!! unfortunately i'm on maui and i don't think anyone here has the system, plus i'm housebound so.... yeah. whenever i hear of someone getting out in the world again i just get teary eyed. i'm so thrilled for her! i'm also working on some neural retraining so i think that's a good combo. but as we know, we are each so different in how we present and what works or doesn't work. i'm super sensitive to light and strobing effects so i'm not sure i'm ready to invest a lot of money in the full visor with lights. i was about to cancel the audio subscription but i'll keep at it and start doing more of that, it has binaural audio stuff. i think, for me at least, brain retrainment is a huge piece of the puzzle. thank you so much for sharing natalie's story. just hearing that gives me hope, and maintaining hope is crucial.

right?!

Her story inspired me SO much today. She sent me pictures tonight of her in a car and eating at a restaurant.. Just unreal. Like she could hardly lift her head most days for YEARS.

Kinda like me. SO much hope.

I am doing neural retraining too! I think it is all connected and useful Oh, she did neural retraining too. She said it was helpful but she found braintaps more helpful. idk. But yeah....once than brain goes online, wowza. Things can really start shifting I keep hearing over and over. Like your body can start accepting new foods, treatments, feel better, nutrient absorption, etc.

Any updates on BrainTap? Just wondering.

I reviewed the BrainTap website. It mentions having research but doesn't list any studies. I searched medline and couldn't find anything under keyword Braintap. I don't see anything to suggest that it would be more effective than learning daily meditation using the much cheaper Headspace App ($700 vs $110).

Braintap is absolutely a major help for me. I bought the headset too with some donation money but my head honestly doesn't seem to want headset much, just the app sessions.

Highly recommend. Using 3 to 5 times a day.

I know this is an old thread, but could you share what your friend did for her neural retraining, and did she use the headset for BrainTap?
