Ryan Prior and Nicole Castillo, who are making the M.E. documentary Forgotten Plague, posted links to a 4 part series they collaborated on with Amanda Ramirez, a reporter for Univision in Atlanta.
In one of the episodes, Ramirez interviews Elizabeth Unger. I don't speak Spanish and the program, which is for a Latino audience, does not come with subtitles. It would be interesting to hear what she has to say.
Two things seemed significant to me. What struck me was that she was participating in a program in which one of the sections is called AIDS without HIV.
According to Prior, the show contained a substantial amount of footage from the upcoming documentary. Is the CDC comfortable being linked with a film that argues that M.E. was "forgotten" and that it is a form of immune dysfunction/deficiency, and that it has epidemic status?
Is the CDC's participation in this more significant than anything Unger has to say?
This post comes with the usual caveats about the trustworthiness of the CDC.
