Are the lymph glands on the left side of your neck just below your ear, and just above your clavicle swollen and possibly sore?

Yes they have been sore and tender.
If they're sore, that generally means that you have an infection or inflammation of possibly some magnitude, but it generally means that you also don't have lymphoma, so there's that ....

Beyond that Im not entirely sure what it might be, altho Eagle's Syndrome sounds like a real possibility, but I thought that at least I could rule out cancer.

Eagle's can be caused by trauma (or sometimes stress) to the head, especially the jaw, due to a build-up of calcium salts in the injured area, or a tendon in the injured area, or it can be genetic and hereditary. Because it can lead to a pharyngeal-neuralgic complications, which can in turn lead to cardiovascular complications, it might help to see a decent cardiologist.

You got yourself a rare one there.
