On 20th September of this year it would have been my very courageous friend's 40th Birthday.
Sadly she is no longer here to celebrate this special birthday with us.
Lynn (aka Jessie) took her life aged 31 in 2008 after enduring
endless suffering from very severe ME since the age of 14.
It broke my heart, and many others, the day she died.
I think of her all of the time, everything that I achieve whilst being ill however little it is,
I always keep her in my thoughts and do it for her too.
To celebrate what would have been her 40th Birthday I asked her Mum,
who was Lynn's selfless, dedicated full time carer, if she would mind people
donating towards a charity that was close to Jessie's heart in celebration of
her first 'big birthday' since she passed away.
I've set up this donation page where money will go to the charity Invest in ME in Jessie's memory,
however big or small, I know it's something she would've been thrilled about as raising money and especially awareness was always something she was passionate about.
I hope we can raise some funds and I will also be hoping to make it down to her memorial garden in East Sussex to lay some flowers for her too. Thanks for reading.
