DMG is boosting my energy, though I had to start with a low dose. Initially it ramped up my need for potassium but that has settled down now. I'm taking one 125 mg. capsule, divided in half, in 2 doses on an empty stomach.
I have recently found that Echinacea, which normally does nothing for me, is helping me fight a recurring sinus infection, and actually quite quickly, much to my surprise. So I'm guessing my immune system is working better and thus able to utilize the Echinacea, which it could not do before.
Here are a couple of links re DMG:

I know these are not scholarly articles but as with all supplements, there is a dearth of research re DMG, and they do reference a few studies. Amazingly, DMG is cheap! I like it very much and am going to keep taking it.
