I have a covid quarantine shelf in the hallway, 5 days things stay there before they are brought in and put away.
Ditto for the mail.

Frozen/fridge need to go in right away though, but i try to avoid them for a few days.

Is anyone still wiping down groceries?

We sprayed all supermarket items with diluted bleach religiously for about the first year of the pandemic, when it was thought that the virus could easily be spread via contaminated surfaces. This is was the time when the advice was to wash hands frequently, in case your hands carry that contamination.

But later it was realised that surface transmission is an uncommon route of viral spread, and that the main route of spread is the airborne route. So we stopped disinfecting the groceries.
