Crashing after alcohol?

Stupidly I drank two glasses of prosecco on Saturday night and my 9 month progress has been halted .... brain fog at the sides back and front alternating and fatigue and low appetite. It's weird because this crash has no pins or needles or anything like that!

I wondered if it's partly due to my sinuses reacting to the alcohol as I have had sphenoid sinusitus throughout my illness.

Is there anything I can do to shorten this crash?

Thanks for all your comments. Had about two weeks of pretty bad flu like symptoms but seems to be settling and having a little more energy. So not sure if it was CFS or the flu or both.....

Needless to say I'll be staying absolutely T total from now on :)

I crashed a few weeks ago after eating tiramisu for my husbands birthday just from the alcohol in it.

Made my POTs flare up terribly I think because its a vasodilator. I won't be doing that again anytime soon.

I usually avoid alcohol completely.

I am such a lightweight :)

I developed a complete 100% intolerance to alcohol in 2013 (shortly after getting POTS) and had no issues with alcohol in my life! For me, I believe it is the combination of it being a vasodilator, when I already have very low blood pressure, and the high histamine content in alcohol and I have MCAS. I can't imagine ever being able to drink it again even though I hope I am wrong!

@Gingergrrl If you get well enough on Rituximab to ever drink again, have a few for me :)
