Chronic fatigue syndrome – a system under stress

Just saw this media blurb about the latest uni NSW study on CFS. They verify the link between autonomic dysfunction and CFS and state it is due to a 'system under stress' (importantly they state it is most likely a physiological stress, ie from an internal infection)

There's more and more research pointing to the HPA axis, flight/fight system break down in both ME and Fibromyalgia.
Even the work of Myhill and others on mito dysfunction seems to point at stressers - physical and/or emotional that can at least play a role in how sick we get even if it's not a route cause.

There's a few things knocking about in my foggy head which I'll try and write about - but right now I can't put it together.
