Yes, it would be interesting to see if there are charity-specific appeals going around or what is happening. But generally I think the charities have been fairly supportive of each other. It's great that these 2 are making headway, but why aren't these people voting for the other leading M.E. charities too?

Thanks. I would be interested in info on the coalition/what other groups were also voting. Not important of course. PM me if you prefer.I think enterovirus fondation was in a non- ME/cfs coalition. I checked some voters and they voted for the same organisations and we got lucky and enterovirus fondation was also there

No problem. I was mainly trying to find out was there a particular segment of the population who would vote for them.I dont remember anymore. It was 2-3 days ago when I saw it and I think you can see only the last 7 voters for which organisations voted. I only remember that there was that organisation "United Sikhs" which is on the second place and there were also some animals and health organisations and but I dont remember which ones. I will check it now sometimes and if I will see this coalition I will write you

So none of the groups were close to getting the 53 votes that 100th position jumped by in those 12 hours!
53 votes isn't an impossible amount to get - I know groups have got that amount and more in previous time periods.
100th position=757 (+61) - the biggest jump yet.100th = 696 (+40)
All 7 charities in the top 100 got more than this. :Sign Good Job:

I also think that we will have big problems to keep our organisations in the top 100. I think its up to the patients who already voted to ask their friends and family because other patients simply dont react and are not motivated to do it. I dont understand it. If I remember correctly WPI got 10 000 votes in the last Chase contest. we did the same campaign, it was posted everywhere.....no wonder that after 30 years we are nowhere with this kind of patients support.
Maybe we should be considering an alliance with them if they have votes left. They'll want to get to #1. I have one vote left.I dont remember anymore. It was 2-3 days ago when I saw it and I think you can see only the last 7 voters for which organisations voted. I only remember that there was that organisation "United Sikhs" which is on the second place and there were also some animals and health organisations and but I dont remember which ones. A group with lots of voters is a good one to be in an alliance with - as a small percentage of them can still be significant.Maybe we should be considering an alliance with them if they have votes left. They'll want to get to #1. I have one vote left.
I should say that I have seen a lot of European names voting. I know the US is a melting pot or salad bowl with people of lots of different nationalities there but I think there has been a disproportionate amount of European names (incl. first names) perhaps particularly for the IACFS/ME (but not sure about that). From the UK lists I'm on, I don't think it is being promoted that much (except by me and a few others) - I'm not sure if many or even any of the UK national or local groups are supporting it.*
ME/CFS Australia (South Australia) and the Irish ME/CFS Association are two groups I know that have mentioned it in e-mails to members.
*There are lots of them so this is just a broad, sweeping statement that hasn't been really researched!
100th position=757 (+61) - the biggest jump yet.
So recently the jumps have been: +39, +44, +53, +40, +61
In the one before this, the 7 charities got more than the number 100th went up; this time none of them got that number.

Better news: 100th only went up by 50 votes: 100th = 882 (+50)The charge is starting. :-(
100TH =832 (+75)
None of the groups went up by that amount although the IACFS/ME were just one off it.
I would say outside the top two, the odds for the each of the others are less than 50/50 unless there is a good push.

the IACFS/ME got 3 more than this, MASS CFIDS the same and the other 5 in the top 100 were all within 14 i.e. none lost major ground. :Retro smile:
So I'm feeling a lot more confident than yesterday for some of the groups. However, groups still need to keep getting votes as other contests suggest a big charge late in the contest.
