candida in bloodstream

Has anyone been diagnosed with candida in the bloodstream?

I haven't personally, but my Dad had it when he was in hospital. They managed to treat it successfully with antifungals, though they made him feel a bit nauseous the first couple of days. He was already on strong medication, though, so it may not affect everyone like that.
