Burghwood Clinic

Hi,

Does anyone have any recent experience with the Burghwood Clinic in the UK or either of their Doctors (Dr Apelles Econs and Dr Jenny Judge)?

My wife has the fatigue/brain fog symptoms of CFS and we just want to keep on trying different doctors/treatments in case anything helps. So far all that has helped is nimodipine for the brain fog, and us getting much better at pacing.

Just reading their website, it sounds like they don't know the difference between ME/CFS and MCAS. That being said, it might be worth a visit if your wife does have MCAS as well as ME/CFS, or to see if she does. Treating my MCAS has certainly made my ME/CFS better.

Ah I'd missed that - thanks for pointing it out. My wife doesn't have MCAS so we'll have to have a think about whether we try them.

We've just made a virtual appointment with Dr Claire Taylor as she has opened up appointments again so will see what she has to say about what else we can try treatment wise first.
