I had that treatment around 15 years ago from one of THE guys in medical acupuncture, a Dr. Rotchford in Port Townend, Wa.

I got very little affect from it and less affect than from the traditional Chinese acupuncture treatments that I had gotten prior to this.

But agreed, it is fascinating and no doubt there are those out there that would receive far more benefit than I did.
