Bad reaction to chelators

One of the complications that may occur in ME, and its hypothetical at this point, is from the issue that many chelators bind divalent cations. If we have a calcium channelopathy then some of the problems we might face could be due to ionized calcium being bound by chelating agents. I am unsure what implications this might have for modifying treatments. In the worst case scenario you might remove the mercury etc. but wind up making the ME worse. Or it may be only a temporary problem, and worth pushing through it.
