Arsenic Levels!

I just got my report back. Levels of arsenic are so high I am being sent to a specialist! This is because I ate nothing but rice the last 20 years because of food sensitivities!

I am taking methionine and glutothione because I cannot take SAMe. In fact, when I went off the arsenic, things in my body have really went crazy, I read that Arsenic can BOTH speed up and slow down methylation, su I have to be really careful.

Anyone else get through arsenic poisoning? If so, please let me know how!! It is very scary.

I tested high for arsenic too. For years I ate chicken as my primary protien and had no idea that factory farmers feed arsenic to the chickens, so we absorb it. So rice isn't the only source, FYI.

Selenium helps remove arsenic from the body. Reference: here.

So you might want to consider taking this supplement (but check with your specialist first).

I personally found that 400 mcg of selenium daily was quite helpful for my ME/CFS — see here.

That's really interesting Hip, thanks for that research.

I react with bad detox symptoms from selenium. That could be due moving arsenic in my system (have high arsenic).

I had high arsenic from eating too much fish. Now eat organic chicken and rice and always soak the rice overnight. Recovered from arsenic and mercury toxicity by taking zinc and n-acetyl-cysteine.

Why soaking the rice?
