I think my Akathisia was Macrolide induced so people that take them for lyme or Chlamydia pneumoniae should be aware of that.

The main difference between Restless Legs and Akathisia is that Akathisia is not circadian.

It took me 5 years to make the drug induced Akathisia diagnosis since my RLS lost it's circadian feature and switched to an Akathisia!

IDN. I don't have Restless Legs at all but I do get tremors mainly at night so is it possible they could be somewhat circadian as well?

I had been using antibiotics off and on for about two years but developed the tremors before I started using any Macrolides so I don't think mine is from those. I just thought it was a CNS progression of my ME. My ME has definitely gotten worse in the last few years unfortunately.

I don't know about tremor.

In this article doctors point circadian rythm in a few neurological issue with hypermotricity.
It's important to notice if the tremor happens at rest or not, at sleep onset or not, and if it's only at night or not.

I was given Levaquin in the hospital recently. I didn't want it so I only ended up taking one dose but it made me feel like I had horrible restlessness and pain in the muscles of my lower back and legs. That part interfered with my sleep because I couldn't stay laying down for more than 10 minutes at a time for at least 4 days afterward. I had to get up and pace. It was miserable. One night I only got 2.5 hours of sleep because of it.

I didn't realize this had a name - Akathesia until I just saw @justy describe the same thing when she took 2 doses of an anti-d (whereas mine was a Fluoroquinolones--also not good) https://forums.phoenixrising.me/thr...reactions-to-ssri-class-of-drugs.11211/page-3

And I guess when I read this thread before and looked up the definition of that, it didn't stick in my brain.

I think I still have it slightly, the leg pain and a little bit of the restlessness too though I thank God it's not as bad as it was back a few weeks ago.

When I got it, it was like an internal restless leg syndrome because I didn't at all feel compelled to shake or twitch my leg as I've seen some with RSL do but it was still horrible. (The med also messed up my eyesight for days afterward.)
