So, I need to take antibiotics for an infection.

Does anyone know which antibiotics are safest with a mast cell activation disorder? My GP isn't clear.

It might be wise to use the antibiotics that will best address your infection.

I have MCAS and just finished 3 months of IV azithromycin, doxycycline, and rifampin, the best combo for my infections. The first 2 made me nauseous and headachy, which I managed with Benadryl, ketotifen, and fexofenadine, and my doctor also had me add Tagamet and quercetin.
