Vandy has confirmed previous work by Stewart and Medows.

Impaired catabolism of angiotensin II through faulty ACE activity results in paradoxical absolute hypovolumia and reduced neuronal nitric oxide availability, increased oxidisive stress, parasympathetic withdrawal, increased norepinephrine transduction, periperhal vasoconstriction, low flow and vasomotor nerve failure.

Cause and affect - for a subset of POTS patients.

SNP at work?

I wonder if we will find that there is a single nucleotide polymorphism to explain this.

And more importantly, what to do about it.
