It seems to be in the early days of research, with some very promising results, but they don't seem to have data on how many patients' memory improved, and by how much.

That is very positive news. My Father-in-law has advanced alzheimers. It's been so sad watching him deteriorate. I do hope they find an answer in the future.

I'd like to follow this to see how long-lasting the effect on the brain is. The article gives the idea it's permanent but that may just be hopeful thinking. The idea of brain stimulation doesn't seem like something without risks, but then with Alzheimers the brain is going to deteriorate so it may give them time and quality of life.
