Not sure if this was posted elsewhere, but I just learned of the passing of a woman named Alywin Catchpole, who wrote the below article and had ME/CFS for 21 years. I have no other details on her death.

The final paragraph of her very well written and in depth look at CFS/ME:

So, while it may be too late for those who have already died as a result of long term ME infection, there is hope for those of us who are still more or less in the land of the living, and even more hope for people who will develop ME, that they may receive prompt diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and so avoid the specter of life-long disease and disability.
