    Brincidofovir

...Brincidofovir, unfortunately, I guess it's still very rare, even though the drug has been around a long time now. I wonder if Valtrex and Valcyte had no effect on a person, why would Brincidofovir succeed where other antivirals failed? Because it is such a broad-spectrum antiviral, I could...

Treatment of reactivated CFS after Vaccine

...He passed recently. I have fibro, CFS and RA. I unfortunately had to go on Medicare recently but glad to have insurance. I was treated with Valcyte in the past. I sleep 14 hours a night and could sleep more. I'm concerned about these viral titers being so high with no treatment. I wanted...

My last plan than is to do a course of valcyte but the cost is becoming further out of reach as the Aussie dollar which was 70cent US there abouts but now it's around 60cents in the US dollar. The...

...almost impossible to get here. Hopefully more evidence these infections are chronic. I don't think my gp will be comfortable prescribing me valcyte but will tell him I want all the tests done so I can see my old cfs dr and show him and get a prescription for valcyte/valgan which I will get...

Again, hoping someone who has had an appt at the clinic more recently than me will share their complete experience with me/PR, beyond...

    Loss of IgG antibodies

I have recently, then HHV6 activated, too, and EBV went drlirmant, on Valcyte and Famvir. Yes Yes. Could be. Well worth discussing with a clever immunologist.

    Tenofovir Alafenamide anyone?

...viruses reactivate but instead of my body becoming sick and gradually getting them under control the viruses fight the antivirals making me incredibly fatigued, brainfogged and barely able to function. Valtrex caused me too many kidney issues. With long term dosing. I'm still debating valcyte.

    Tenofovir Alafenamide anyone?

Finally i took my first 1mg. Let's see what happens :D So in your case @godlovesatrier Valcyte / Valganciclovir would be the best?! For cmv ebv Damn but its like you have to sell a kidney to afford it :D

    Valcyte/valgan

Anyone have any good affordable sources for valcyte/valgan? Alldaychemist is $113 for 16 tabs which is too costly to sustain. I thought by now the cost of these antivirals would be alot cheaper😓

Sorry, memories are coming through the fog, azithromycin was another treatment used for its anti inflammatory effects on the brain not unlike valcyte but success from studies weren't great.

Hasn't been mentioned in this thread but valcyte was once mentioned to inhibit microglia cells, but I guess was the microclia because of a herpes virus??? Maybe it was Dr Montoya? I can't recall the name but someone from pr use to use microdoses of valcyte and get good improvements from it. My...

    Tenofovir Alafenamide anyone?

Hey heaps, Maybe cmv and hhv6 are bigger issues for you. Or the valcyte immune modulation is much stronger than it is with TAF. Either way no harm saving up for it. Shame it's so expensive. I do feel like I'm mainly benefitting from the immune modulation but it's really very hard to tell and...

Can’t get Valcyte, other options for EBV, HHV6

Can’t get Valcyte, other options for EBV, HHV6

I’m having a difficult time getting more prescriptions for Valcyte because of the immune suppression side effect (I’m also fighting chronic Lyme). What else can I take to treat EBV, HHV-6, and CMV? Would Famvir and Valtrex be an alternative? I read Famvir targets HHV-6 and CMV and Valtrex...

Which drugs are effective against herpesviruses HSV, EBV, CMV, VZV, HHV6, HHV8?

...I had several doctors miss my EBV because they interpreted results like you do. My EA was zero, but I was PCR positive for EBV and going on Valcyte was a game changer for me. These charts are from the attached papers and are about interpreting EBV serology in IMMUNOCOMPETENT patients, which...

    Valtrex post-Valcyte to stay well

...the highest dose 3g a day. Alternatively famvir is meant to hit cmv and hhv-6 more easily. A few pr members only got hhv6 under control by adding famvir. Valcyte however potently hits the cmv and hhv6 but I believe doesn't bit ebv as hard. So what Judee said is correct same with heaps reply.

    Valtrex post-Valcyte to stay well

...But my usual speal is that famvir going by peoples experiences here is that famvir has better effects on cmv and hhv6. After 6-12months of valcyte it wasn't uncommon for people to stay on valtrex or famvir to prevent or slow down viral reactivation after a valcyte course. This was about...

In his book, written in 2008, he mentions also using famciclovir and Valcyte, although he uses valcyte less often due to the higher side effect profile. Valcyte uses 2nd,3rd or 4th courses?

Glad you figured that out. My doctor originally wanted me to try 3g Valtrex daily. Then, my insurance wouldn't approve that and my EBV PCR was positive, in addition to HHV6 and CMV, so that's when he switched me to 1.8g Valcyte daily, which is more effective for that combo of herpesviruses.
