    No flush with Niacin

You build up a tolerance to niacin flushing. When I first began taking it I would flush with 200mg, now only 3g+ works. I think your tolerance also has a lot to do with methylation status.

    What does Molybdenum do?

...and can't take any molybdenum without making the deficiency symptoms worse. I seem to keep cycling between deficiency and toxicity since I started doing methylation protocols. My suspicion is that this is related to oxalate dumping and general detoxification caused by increased methylation.

Copper - a good way to monitor whether you should be taking it or not

...at interpreting the analysis it may reveal high copper at the time of the test but this only represents a long term trend. Since starting methylation/thyroid/oxalate protocols I've actually swung many times from copper toxicity to frank, full blown deficiency within the same few weeks. I...

What does TMG do in methylation? Making my inflammatory muscle pain better

Hey junkcrap (haha) copper and selenium have also at times made inflammation and muscle pain go down. Balancing act!

    Dark side of Antioxidants

I remember a video on yt where a doctor said to get SIBO under control before addressing methylation issues with things like B12 and Folate because you're just feeding the bad bacteria that way. It sounds like that is what is happening in this case too. Everything we eat can become...

Can supplements help persons with ME/CFS - the pros and cons

There are numerous ME/CFS researchers who have identified nutrient deficiencies and imbalances in ME/CFS patients. It makes sense to try to bring these lab values to normal and see if symptoms retreat. With my doctors, I have methodically gone through the research, run tests to see if I have...

Can supplements help persons with ME/CFS - the pros and cons

...by epstein barr virus. Many people approach supplements with the idea of using anti-oxidants, supporting mitochondria, and boosting methylation which doesn't work. Strong anti-oxidants raise cancer risk and weaken cancer defense . I agree. If we insisted on strong evidence many of the...

Can supplements help persons with ME/CFS - the pros and cons

...took place on this forum for over ten years. In the beginning of last decade there was a big push to treat ME/CFS patients with various methylation protocols. As far as I recall, there was one patient, @Freddd, who improved, but it turned out he had some very rare mutations affecting B12...

What does TMG do in methylation? Making my inflammatory muscle pain better

Very interesting. Ever since trying a methylation protocol, I have had inflammatory muscle aches and lactic acid burning in my muscles. I've been trying forever to try and find a solution. Perhaps I should some betaine. Maybe I need a small amount of methylation or at least reduce homocysteine.

Can supplements help persons with ME/CFS - the pros and cons

...monitoring over time, and making further adjustments down the line to address changes. If you've been short of folate, for example, and methylation wasn't working because of that, adding the folate, the missing ingredient, will start to cause the methionine cycle to run faster and...

    Reading this bloods test/Folate high?

...short of B12. This test doesn't test folate so though I suspect you might have a problem, it's impossible to know unless you test it. For methylation, in addition to optimizing MB12, B2, B6, B1, folate, and maybe minerals like zinc, potassium, and molybdenum, you might also want to take TMG...

What does TMG do in methylation? Making my inflammatory muscle pain better

TMG stands for trimethylglycine, also known as betaine. It is a natural methyl donor, so it increases the methylation capacity of the body and should help to reduce homocysteine. Hope this helps.

What does TMG do in methylation? Making my inflammatory muscle pain better

TMG makes my inflammatory muscle pain go away. Does anybody know what it does in the methylation cycle? Vitamin E and selenium made it much better for a time and now make it worse. So presumably they created too much of a by product - homocysteine? And now the tmg is clearing it? My knowledge...

Organic Acid Test (OAT) results – do we ALL show the Warburg effect?

...circulating fatty acids as well as increasing NAD + ... it helps to use glucose but you don't have to eat a high-fat diet otherwise you will worsen insulin resistance ... (which is not what you want). For those fearful of its effects in methylation, use low dosages of 25-50mg 1-2 times a day.

Creatine may help. Or try dosing sodium bicarb in small amounts. Its very salty so it can be hard to swallow significant doses. Also calciym bicarbonate might be easier to tolerate.

Sorry I didnt mean to attack your. Your problems however sound like the core problem of CFS. Mitochondrial Dysfunction. No cure for that has been found so far. Badpack started SS-31 already. Lets hope it helps im. Defective Mitochondria will produce high lactate with the slightest "exercise"...
