URGENT: MEA asks if anyone who has been harmed by GET/CBT will speak to media this week re: PACE

Would you be willing to speak to the media about your bad experience of CBT and/or GET please? #MECFS

You would need to be based in the UK and as these articles will include reference to the NICE guideline review, it would be preferable if you were living in England or Wales when you received NHS delivered treatment.

The media will also be covering the Journal of Health Psychology press release and special edition criticising the PACE Trial - although we must stress that nothing has been confirmed at this point.

We are afraid that we can't guarantee the stories will run, but we need to be able to provide contact details for anyone willing to share their experience, and possibly be photographed, or appear on television.

If you are a carer for someone who has been badly let down by their treatment, or by any other shortfall in clinical provision - such as a failure to provide support for a severely affected patient - then we'd also like to hear from you.

At the moment we are in active discussion with a very important news outlet regarding the JHP journal and the NICE guideline review

As the MEA announcement makes clear - nothing is certain at this point (it never is when the press are researching a story) but this could move very quickly if they decide to go ahead tomorrow…...
