@Allyson
Thanks for the post!

I'm taking midodrine (I've been on it since 2003) and I definitely want it to stay on the market. I'm so happy there are folks out there willing to participate in these research studies.

I swear by it! Start Slow ( I did 2.5mg 3/day for a year and slowly increased to 10mg twice a day) I know a lot of people started full dose and WHAMMMMM!

@Allyson I known of people that ended in emergency room with high blood pressure and others get terrible headache( can be a few weeks into it).

It is such a gret drug if it works, that it is worth to go slow so you don't get the bad side effects. If you get headache go down on dose, Monitor blood pressure, Do not lay down on it (I could on 2.5mg without getting increased BP ), if you need to rest you can do in recliner or find diferent 45 degrees positions you can rest on. I have had to lay down due to crash but if I take the med on time I never crash too bad while on it.

Also, I had to quit the extra salt I was taking, since this increase BP also (for me).

I started with 2.5mg once a day for about 3 weeks before taking the second one. I'm just starting the third 2.5mg a day. My BP improved immediately but I desperately needed this med to work so went very slow. Still end up in ER for saline IV. Not seeing specialist until May 28.
