Unfortunately for their argument, no one here gives a rat's ass about identifying patients in the trial by name. We just want that sweet, raw data.

Does anyone know how binding this new decision is? Will the data definitely be released or can they still weasel out of it some way?

...as part of a campaign by a small group of CF/MSE activists to discredit research and researchers whose results they do not agree with.
How could CF/MSE (o_O) activists discredit research they disagree with unless the research was discreditable? If the data and analysis are sound, a bunch of patients would be in no position to discredit it. I continue to be amazed at the unbelievable abilities they claim we have.

Not everyone in the scientific or lay community agrees with all research. Thank goodness. That's why there is supposed to be transparency and open discussion about research. The good stuff holds up to scrutiny, the bad stuff is shot down. Theoretically. Refusing to release your data because some group of people in the general public might disagree with it is utter nonsense.

This kind of BS makes no sense at all. It sounds desperate, paranoid, and hysterical.
