Opinions on swapping Omeprazole for H2 blocker (zantac or something)

I'm on long term Omeprazole, and already take an H1 anti-histamine daily.

I'm thinking adding an H2 blocker will get me more benefits (suspected MCAS) than omeprazole.

Anyone got any thoughts/opinions on this?

Do the benefits of H2 blockers go beyond "mere" stomach acid secretion?
