My VIP is elevated, but no tumor. Any ideas?

Since I began my declining health journey, at some point a doctor checked my VIP level. It was just elevated over the top of the limit. The second time it was tested a year or two later, it was 2x the upper limit. The last time it was tested it was almost 3x the upper limit. I had a scan to look for a tumor/cancer, and nothing showed. So, I don't know why it is elevated. I have read in the past that VIP can be related to mold, as I've read here, too. But, the VIP is usually low. Any thoughts if it could somehow also be high, as in some weird reaction to mold or something else? BTW, I can attest that higher levels do NOT give me energy or make me feel better. I have been declining in energy progressively.
