Low ferritin - some more information

I'm not sure why my ferritin is perpetually low. I have had all the usual suspects ruled out.

Dr. Hyde, my current doctor, is referring me to a hematologist to investigate all this further.

I have been taking increased doses of my iron pills the last week and I feel better. It's probably a placebo effect or I just happen to be having a good week. Time will tell.
