I have filed for disability and awaiting hearing. My neurologist and gp both support this decision, so I'm stuck in the waiting game.

As usual I'm pretty much void of any assets at all now, but I do have some residential real estate. I want to keep it, but I may not be able too. I'm trying to find an institution that will provide a loan equal to 1/5th of the appraised value and secured with the real estate.

This has proven to not be very easy. typical banks and credit unions will not have anything to do with it because I technically have no income right now. Has anyone heard of a way to do this? I know it is a shot in the dark!

Thanks!
