Thanks Ember - that was very interesting, I hope he will get alot of response.
I am wondering if an exposure to a chemical at the same time as an infection can be one possible factor that sets us up for this. I had an infection at the same time they were renovating the place I worked -- new carpets, paint etc. The fumes were terrible for several days and everyone was complaining. I wonder if that played a role. Perhaps the chemical exposure somehow altered my bodies response to the pathogen?

I was tested by a blood test and told to be careful. That is really not rare. Not the only cause for me. I had to fix many things before I got better.
