Many of you have read about Whitney Dafoe and his severe case of ME/CFS.
This new article (July 10th) talks about his current state (and also other patients). The author does a good job IMO describing the complexities, the severe frustration and hell that many of us experience.
My only gripe is that she slips into using the term 'chronic fatigue' too often. Other than that, it's well written.
I hope you'll read it and also leave a comment if possible.

And, if anyone knows or has contact with his family, I'm curious if they were able to find another doctor to insert the feeding tube that one doctor refused to help them with? I would hope so…it seems like a matter of life or death, yet the 'gastroenterologist who would perform the surgery refused. Instead, he told Janet Dafoe that her son needed acute psychiatric care.'
What century are we living in?
That doctor should be sued to the ends of the earth.
