Can I donate $$ for a yogurt chaser, for after the challenge??

Or whatever remedy works best for them! For me, a salty lassi (drink made from yogurt and water) plus a bite of naan always helps!

From the Microbe Discovery Facebook page!

It's so great having the ‪#‎MEAction‬ Network website platform available for us to use! Check out the news article we have up on there now folks. Don’t miss the livestream webcast of researchers Ian Lipkin and Mady Hornig from Columbia University CII - tackling the Chilli ME Challenge!

You can RSVP to the MEAction event section to get reminders and all the details for how to watch it. The webcast will be hosted by Columbia and is starting at 1:00PM Eastern time (EST) on July 1st. RSVP here:

Link for the live webcast here:

Not only are they doing this but they also made a brilliantly fun promotional video for their upcoming live ‪#‎ChilliMEchallenge‬. It really is a must-see. That is not all: they have also made a creatively neat Spice-O-Meter donations monitor.

That’s right, people! The more we donate, the hotter the Spice-O-Meter gets and the HOTTER the chillies get that Ian Lipkin and Mady Hornig will have to consume!

Check out the article on the MEAction website and see the video!

Looks like this got a mention on the TWiV podcast:
The TWiVniks (This Week in Virology) discuss the structure of a virus that reproduces in an extreme environment, long-term consequences of Ebolavirus infection, and VirScan, a method to identify the different virus infections you have had in your lifetime

They also mention the Red Hot Chilli challenge

(note, I haven't listened myself as I find it hard to concentrate)
