How were your viral levels when you felt "better"?

A question for those of you who have had your levels to EBV, HHV-6, etc. tested...

How was your overall functioning and how ill did you feel at that time, and what were your test results like? In particular, I'm interested in whether anyone has had tests done when they were feeling "better" but still had an abnormally high result.

I've managed to get myself feeling much less "ill" through my current regime of supplements, but I'm still very limited in stamina, etc., still have a very limited envelope I can exist within without triggering a backslide or unpleasant after-effects, etc (I am still bed bound, just not miserable so long as I stay there ;)). Tested my NK function, and it actually came back okay, which really surprised me but I figure probably reflects how much more normal I feel when I don't push too hard. ...And which is making me wonder whether or not it's worth it to push to get my viral levels tested (which was my next step), or if they might be temporarily down also because I don't feel so "sick" most of the time now (at least, not compared to before - I still have plenty of symptoms to go around). There is a financial issue, but more I'm concerned because the more tests that come back "normal" the more I lose credibility with my doctor and disability insurance provider. Doctor is willing to work with me, but is not an ME/CFS specialist. I don't want to negatively effect my chances of trying antivirals (now or later) because my titers happen to come back low right now.

If you could share your stories, I would appreciate that. Did you get an abnormally high viral level even when you didn't feel crazy ill, or were having better functioning? Have your viral levels corresponded to your NK activity? Thanks!
