Given the way that the US/UK establishment and media treats ME the only way is to get a foreign media outlet to make a documentary on ME scandal or even show Voices from the Shadows on TV.

The only trustworthy news outlets for US/UK news especially stuff that these governments dont want you to know about are:

RT - Russian
http://rt.com/

AlJazeera - Middle Eastern channel from Qatar

Thanks for posting this article Wildcat, I think it was very well written for someone with limited experience of ME/CFS.

Also thanks to Allyb for the other article on POTS & OI, glad it somehow slipped through :)

I can't wait to see Voices from the Shadows!

I just had a read of the comments following the main article, well done Beatrice & Kevin Drake!

rom Mr Sant, article comment.
Most of the GP's keep up to date with the literature, so they know what is the standard treatment and how effective this is. It is the GP (and the specialist) responsibility to discuss all the relevant issues with the patient and then together find an agreeable plan of treatment.

Haha, this guy has noooo idea.
I had a consult with my GP the other day. My vitamin D level is low (I had to beg him to test for it in the first place), he spent 3/4 of the consultation on wiki looking up vitamin D & how it is synthesized in the body.

I asked him about B12 injections, a standard ME treatment, I presented him with literature by a preminent ME/CFS specialist. He'd only ever been taught to administer the injections once every 3 months & is not willing to read any research papers or trials etc.

He ain't the first GP who enjoys his ignorance & he won't be the last.

or, to put it another way

"How dare you give the untermensch the idea they will escape the showers!"
or
"How dare you interfere with my cushy bullshit graavy train job!"
or
"How dare you expose the fact we're full of horseshit"
or
"Shut up and take the kickbacks like the rest of the media!"
or
"Shut up, or you'll get a "Doctor Kelly Special" for being a whistleblower!"
or
"Shut up, we have the men with butterfly nets outside your door!"

hm? ;)

More twitter comments from Sonia concerning that e-mail from psychiatrist following ME article:

"No didn't do that but did give me a three paragraph rant about how dangerous my opinion is"
"He was very angry. Struggled to keep his cool even in e-mail"
"He was not a happy bunny. Portrayed it like I would have deaths on my conscience. Am prepared for more now."
"extremely odd. It was a very shirty e-mail. Not professional at all. More troll-like than anything."

"Mat Owen@Divefire
@SoniaPoulton don't suppose you'd be up for naming these psychiatrists, would you? Great article btw.
