The only one I know is Dr. Patricia Salvato. I saw her for one visit and she was very warm and compassionate. I went to her primarily to run several tests to rule out various chronic conditions and she was more than helpful in doing so. She is also apparently a Lyme specialist and although I declined the Lyme test, she did run several other immune panels that I requested. She has a large ME/CFS and Lyme patient base so she is very experienced in these chronic illnesses.

My only caveat is she does have a preferred treatment for CFS which is glutathione shots. Since I do not feel that my particular condition fits exactly into the ME/CFS diagnosis, I declined the treatment. But I will be returning for another visit soon to ask for an antibiotic for suspected bacterial overgrowth.

So yeah, I think she's your best shot in Houston. As I'm sure you're aware, most doctors scoff at ME/CFS, Lyme, or other as-yet undiagnosed chronic illnesses, so having a doctor who is compassionate and knowledgeable is a big deal.

The only other thing, her staff are ridiculous about picking up the phone. Start calling as soon as the office opens and keep calling throughout the day until they pick up. You will be referred to a new patient coordinator and have to wait for them to call back in a few days and they will send you an email. Keep on top of it and call them back if they don't respond in a reasonable time frame. If worst comes to worst, you can go to her office in person to fill out the new patient application. I had some problems with the staff at the beginning, but once I was an established patient, the process was smooth.

Good luck!

Sorry but any chance you know which insurance plan does she accept? Thanks
