    These are my results. I am considering speaking with my doctor about doing a course of antivirals but don't really know how to read these results. I had mono when i was around 20 years old and i haven't felt the same since. I'm 27 now and it's been really difficult. Symptoms: Fatigue, Headaches, Poor exercise recovery, etc.

    Tests: (1) EBV AB SCREEN (400.4906)
    ! EBV-VCA IGG AB [H] >5.00 <=0.90
    < OR = 0.90 Negative 0.91 - 1.09 Equivocal > or = 1.10 Positive
    ! EBV-VCA IGM <=0.90 <=0.90
    < OR = 0.90 Negative 0.91 - 1.09 Equivocal > or = 1.10 Positive Test Performed by Quest, Chantilly, Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute, 14225 Newbrook Drive, Chantilly, VA 20151 Kenneth Sisco, M.D., Ph.D., Director of Laboratories (703) 802-6900, CLIA 49D0221801
    ! EBV EARLY ANTIBODY <=0.90 <=0.90
    < OR = 0.90 Negative 0.91 - 1.09 Equivocal > or = 1.10 Positive
    ! EBV-NA AB [H] 2.18 <=0.90
    < OR = 0.90 Negative 0.91 - 1.09 Equivocal > or = 1.10 Positive

    @shepard515 - I think positive IgG and EBNA (NA), with negative IgM and early antibody means someone had a past infection but probably not recently and they're probably not having a reactivation.

    So a pretty normal result, not indicating any active infection.

    hi shepard, i also think it is not indicative of active infection, but you may want to try a trial of valtrex or famvir, just to see if it would help.

    i also got cfs after mono, too, 21 years ago. now, the only thing that has helped me are antibiotics...go figure.
