Interesting, but some things are unclear from the article. How exactly does the PFC suppress the SNS? Norepinephrine, the major mediator of the SNS innervates the PFC and increases behavioral control over subcortical structures. So this seems counterintuitive to me. Acetylcholine is the major mediator of the ANS, but does not innervate the PFC.
