You would think good research practice would require tighter p-values and other indicators when blinding is not possible since it is known that effect size is biased (exaggerated) without blinding, but noooooo....
In some cases I don't know why they even bother to torture the patients. They might as well just sit in a conference room and make up the data, it's about as accurate as what some of them are doing now. If you can't do good science, you might as well be honest about the fact that your data is crap.
