Would taking an amino acid be a decent substitute for these? I could get hepapressin from Dr Enlander but I took it for 8 months with no effect and it also has folic acid and glutathione that I'm trying to avoid. Nexavir is also very expensive.

I would say no. But some insurance companies cover Nexavir. Nexavir has been good for me though it does need to be taken long term. Otherwise, as Thinktank mentioned, 4ME is less expensive, though you would have to pay for shipping.
