Hi,
Does anyone here have any info on using alpha ketoglutaric acid to reduce ammonia?
I have a problem with using Citruline or Arginine and although they both work great for a few days, I get cold sores which is pretty common with people who have low immunity.
As far as alpha ketoglutaric acid, I have heard that it combines with harmful ammonia to make Glutamine.(and thus reduces the ammonia)
But then I hear Glutamine could turn into Glutamate and create excitotoxicities and wanted to educate myself a little more before trying it..
Any information would be appreciated.
