GP Involvement in Diagnosing Symptoms of ME that could be caused by Adrenal Problems

Well,of course you shouldn't it use it without good reason. I'm using it because I had blood tests where my cortisol was very low and was eventually diagnosed with secondary adrenal insufficiency.

GP Involvement in Diagnosing Symptoms of ME that could be caused by Adrenal Problems

I recently got my cortisol tested. In three different times, it was very low. So, I'm still waiting a few tests, but this probably means i don't have cfs. Ive been taking prednisone for a few days and feel a bit better ( my appetite is back, less fatigued). If you haven't yet, check your...

    Tried Stimulants, Seen notable improvement

@panckage thanks for the advice, but that's not a road i want to go down. I'm trying to stick to low doses and taking breaks so i don't build a tolerance. The ability to excercize is just not worth it.

    Tried Stimulants, Seen notable improvement

I recently started taking ritalin (long acting, 20 Mg) as suggested by my cfs specialist. It really helps with concentration and fatigue, and I can actually study with it. It doesnt affect me physically though, so I cant run or play sports with it. Since, I'm taking the long acting kind...

    Sinusitis or cfs.

I was recently diagnosed with cfs after many tests. (Even had xray of chest and face). I have stuffiness and post nasal drip (especially in the morning). My doctor said this is unrelated to the cfs and gave me allergy medicine. I've read that sinusitis can cause fatigue, so I was wondering if...

JRE With Wim Hof - Manipulating Your Immune System & Biology

I take cold showers regularly, and they really help in raising energy levels and mood. Only short term though, so far, but it's nice. I also haven't culottes to it fully, but with the breathing methods and being persistent, it might really help.

    Sleep Apnea

@knackers323 i wouldn't say it's completely not flu like. Occaisionaly i have an itch in my throat and i have stuffy nose. When i have PEM, then it kinda feels like the flu. Also, i get periodically sick. I'm not sure how it started. I started getting sick very often, doctors said it was a...

    Sleep Apnea

Hey, I have not been officially diagnosed with CFS yet. My GP has referred me to a CFS specialist and I will be seeing her shortly. Reading though these forums, I'm 95% sure I have CFS. My symptoms include PEM, brain fog, persistent fatigue all the time (not sleepiness), stomach problems...

Has anyone tried moving to a different place completely?

This sounds a bit drastic, but I hear that sometimes when people move and change climates they feel better. Has anyone tried this and witnessed any success?

    Feeling worse after waking up.

So do you think reducing cortisol levels could somehow relieve symptoms?

    Feeling worse after waking up.

I always feel worse right when I wake up and continue to feel that way for around 5 hours (high brain fog, intense fatigue, lack of appetite, phlegm). Towards the evening my energy levels are higher (though still very low compared to a normal person). I've noticed that sometimes I don't feel...

How many people actually get better?

There's tons of statistics around, but what is reliable? This method cured X amount of patients, and this one cures Y amount, etc. Most people that get sick at a young age get better.. What are these based on? It seems from these forums that nobody actually gets better. How am I supposed to...
