@Gary1001 Any updates on these Gary? Am looking for a multivitamin and interested to hear your progress.

Multivitamin causing sound sensitivity & tinnitus 30 mins after ingestion, cause?

@Deltrus Interesting, thanks for sharing. I have similar symptoms to you (tinnitus, pressure, tingling, ear sensitivities etc) and am also looking for a multivitamin. A health professional of mine recently suggested taking large dose multivitamins (split up into small amounts) throughout the...

    Just Fermented Milk?

My point was that if the GcMAF occurs in the fermentation of milk, then the probiotic strains that go with it shouldn't make much difference. However, while theory can be argued, results can not, so thank you for sharing that info on your experiments. Thanks Plum, I'll look into Kefir.

    Just Fermented Milk?

Before forking out $700 for yoghurt that may help but makes some people feel worse, I am wondering if it is even necessary to buy. I quote from this: https://riordanclinic.org/2013/01/the-super-probiotic/ "Interestingly, the same enzymes used by the immune system to transform Gc into GcMAF...

Clostridium Butyricum - A Game Changer?

Does anyone know the relationship between C. Butyricum and GABA? I'm going to purchase C. Butyricum and want to supplement GABA, but wondering if C. Butyricum covers both?

How to Make Magnesium Enemas w/ Epsom Salt

I have epsom salt baths every 3/4 days that I feel are beneficial - though I'm not sure if it's due to the epsom salt or the heat. I have temperatures as hot as I can stand and stay in for approx 45 minutes. The heat is for sweat/removing toxins, which I do plenty with the hot water. The epsom...

    Alternate ATP theory

Here is an alternate theory on ATP I am not necessarily advocating, but am interested in discussing. I recently came across this link: http://www.cancertutor.com/graviola/ ….about the use of graviola and paw paw to treat cancer. They work by slowing down ATP production, I quote: "Paw Paw...

What do you have for Breakfast?

Considering most of us consider diet as part of a treatment plan, I hope 'general treatment' is the right place for this. What do you have for breakfast and why? Given we all probably take various supplements at breakfast time, my question is more focused on the meal. Oats? Cereal? Breads...

Deficient EBV-specific B- and T-cell response in patients with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Really interesting, snowathlete. I had EBV and recovered in 3 weeks. Then I relapsed and couldn't recover the second time, developing CFS, which fits "an impaired ability to control early steps of EBV reactivation" to a dime. The next obvious question: Does anyone know what can boost the...

    Help with SNP results please.

I asked him for it and the others after doing research on these forums and the net, but it was a line of thinking he was not unfamiliar with, and was happy to do it. Due to the results of these tests however I am now going to do a Gut Bacteria test through Bio Screen, who send the kit up from...

    Help with SNP results please.

I've seen a few different GP's, a naturopath and a couple of different specialists who have all asked for various tests over the years. The most recent tests that I mentioned above however were done through a GP in Brisbane who sees many CFS patients and is open minded to alternative tests and...

    Help with SNP results please.

I was tested for ammonia recently but it was normal. As were my B12's (methylmalonic acid test). I suffer from brain fog whenever my symptoms are strongest. Whenever my symptoms are weaker my brain feels quite clear. This is an improvement from the first year or two - when it was all symptoms...

    Help with SNP results please.

@ azzacalabaza I thought I would comment as we seem to have many similarities. I too have feet injuries (plantar fascitis) from years ago. After many months they improved to almost better, then CFS came and they worsened drastically. It's been nearly 3.5 years now with CFS and as I've made...

    Treatment for CBS/Sulfur issues?

@alex3619 I have high homocysteine and strongly positive hyrdrogen sulfide, but normal ammonia and b12. Does this sound to you like down regulated CBS - and if so, do you know what may be of benefit for it? You mention the possibility of Lysine being used incorrectly, which I have read...

Rifaxamin v BSS v Questran v Clay (Hydrogen Sulfide) Treatments

There are drugs that can treat it (ones I know of are listed above), and diet/supplementation should be considered in relation to it. Perhaps it is difficult to treat if people don't respond well to the drugs/have other complications etc... but it is a bad problem that needs to be fixed.

Rifaxamin v BSS v Questran v Clay (Hydrogen Sulfide) Treatments

Interesting Sushi, that makes a lot of sense. My doc said a test for my gut bacteria was necessary and it has been ordered, so perhaps i shouldn't take any drug until after those results have come back. Otherwise I will be relying on luck. Cheers!

Rifaxamin v BSS v Questran v Clay (Hydrogen Sulfide) Treatments

Hey folks, I tested 'strongly positive' to a urine test done recently for Hydrogen Sulfide. My doc recommended Questran. I have read mixed reports about it on here so far. Seems it will either be good or bad depending on the individual - but at least it will do something. I've also heard of...

    Positive Hydrogen Sulfide/High Homocysteine

OK another appointment with my doc has confirmed that mehtylfolate is indeed better than folinic acid, only he knew where he could get the latter and not the former, which is why he recommended it instead. Sigh...I also got Hydrogen Sulfide Urine tests back as 'strongly positive' suggesting it's...

    Positive Hydrogen Sulfide/High Homocysteine

Thanks both for your replies. I have seen many posts regarding methylation issues and gene mutations here and some great information. It appears as though I should do the 23andme testing to be sure of gene mutation. My main reason for posting was skepticism of my docs recommendation of folinic...

    Positive Hydrogen Sulfide/High Homocysteine

Hey, I recently got some results back which my doc (CFS empathetic) says suggests a folinic acid issue. The tests I had done were: Ammonia (blood) - normal Methylmalonate Acid (blood) - normal Homocysteine (blood) - 12.8 (normal is less than 9) He says the homocysteine abnormality suggests a...

    Spinal Pain

That sounds like what I'm experiencing, and I too have read and considered the dorsal root ganglionitis possibility. It is also why I am able to at least have some level of optimism that perhaps it is a sign of my body attempting to fix the issue, but the opposite idea - that it could be...

    Spinal Pain

@maryb Seems we have something similar. Anti-inflammatories don't work for me. Interesting about the anti-histamines, I've been reading more and more lately about the possibility of CFS sufferers having too much histamine. I will look further into this. @minkeygirl Thanks for the tip! I will...

    Spinal Pain

Hey all, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what might be of benefit for my spinal pain? The pain can exist at any part of the spine, but is worst at the very bottom area where tailbone and hips meet, and quite high up the top of the back. The pain can be quite sharp and last...
