Anxiety is a beast. There are techniques that can help, if you can find a good therapist that can provide you tools. I'm not sure it is possible to extinguish anxiety, but it is possible to reduce it and not have it take over your life.
Thank you its hard, but i wonder if i its my mind causing the symptoms im feeling

Ouch, you really are freaking, aren't you?!

You may want to attack this from several angles.

1/ Drugs, booze, poor diet and excessive exercise is going to stress your body no matter what. So making some positive changes in any of those areas is going to reduce stress on the body and that's gotta be good. You've started already, good for you. Just don't go excessive. Reducing sugar is good, freaking out if you ever have another quarter teaspoon of sugar is obsessive.

2/ If you haven't already, find a good doctor you trust who can do any relevant testing for your symptoms, even if only to exclude stuff that you then don't have to worry about.

3/ Find a good psychologist/psychiatrist/counseller - and the word “good” is crucial here. A bad one can do more harm than good. You may have to try a few different therapists as well as a few different therapies before you find one that fits you. For example, there are therapies that require you to talk about your worries, try to understand them, try to control or change them. Cognitive behavioural therapy is one of those. And then there are are therapies that do the polar opposite where you train to not engage with your worries, let them kind of fade into insignificance. Metacognitive therapy is one of those. I'm sure there are many more but my information is limited to what I can recall from reading in various popular science magazines.

4/ And totally out of left field, as a distraction technique go right out of your comfort zone and try reading some philosophy, just to cherry-pick some wisdom or helpful quotes. The old Greek stoics might be a good start for you.

As for developing ME or not, or any other health condition for that matter, the best thing you can do is look after your body and mind. Then you've done all you can and there's no point in worrying about it any more because there's nothing more you can do. It'll happen or it won't - most likely won't - but your worrying is not going to make any difference other than make you feel lousier than you need to feel.

As Jim suggests definitely look into a leaky gut protocol this helped me reduce anxiety symptoms

Also I don't know if you use whey as a protein source this stuff had serious effects on my condition a lot of the lads I trained with also found whey was causing problems.

Could be worth easing back on training for a while I, I use to hit the weights hard as it appeared to help my anxiety but in actual fact it was depleting me more and more. After a lay off I went to steady state cardio instead ,small sessions ,(not great I know) but it helped just keep things ticking along

@Worried1230

I only say that I identify with what he says. It was the life I had before I got sick, although I had the bad luck that I think I never received a warning, I had a chronic anxiety that I was able to handle much more than before, I was a healthier person ... but still sick and today I still do not know why

Are eye floaters & muscle twitches a symptom of cfs?

I can only speak for myself but I had eye floaters decades before CFS and muscle twitches were down to a magnesium deficiency which stopped after supplementation

The problem is so many symptoms overlap into other conditions eye floaters and muscle twitches could be associated with CFS, anxiety, stress,PTSD,Lyme disease, adrenaline fatigue etc etc

My advice is to seek out a diagnosis from either a good doctor or a specialist so you know exactly what your dealing with

@Worried1230 My anxiety was horrific. I felt at the time it was physiological, not primarily psychological. I eventually stumbled onto the GAPS diet, Gut and Psychology Syndrome. Within 5 days of eliminating gluten and dairy, the anxiety decreased about 50%. Over the course of 5 years, the diet and detox pretty much eliminated the anxiety. Also adequate B12 stopped the insomnia. My nervous system is still easily stirred up, but only if I push myself too much. good luck.

Hello i have posted on here before asking the same question but feel as if inposted it on the wrong thread so here it goes i am going to tell you all why i am here & please dont judge me for some of the things i am going to share..

I am a 22 yr old male who’s life has hit rock bottom this year...Now i am a bodybuilder who developed a bad sinus infection the beginnig this year which i at the time was going through severe depression & struggled with cocaine addiction (dumb i know) now i iwas given a zpack for the sinus infrction & i started having bad heartburn like constantly to the point where i had to see a gastroenterologist & have an endoscopy done & it was just mild inactive gastritis

So here goes again another sinus infection & this time i am giving amoxicilin & my gut was pretty much f***** same thing i was suffering with depression doing cocaine, methaphetamine & drinking alot to cope with the stress, at my highest weight i was at 172 & lost alot of fat & muscle mass my lowest down to 153.. i have had all sorts of digestive issues & i’ve have some symptoms of cfs thing is i dont have this PEM i am still able to workout & work full time but now this anxiety has gotten so bad that im scared to even go to the gym

Now i do have a viral infection HPV i have a visable wart on my groin area & i heard Warts only show on someone who has a weak immune system, im bisexual & i hook with both sexes & ive been tested negative for HIV also i was diagnosed pre diabetic as my fasting glucose was 101 & type 2 diabetes runs in bothsides of my family i was tested negative for antibodies for Epstein-Barr & have never had lyme disease

I do have some minor energy swings somedays & now i havent really got a flu in years but last time i cought a cold was back last december & this February, i am able to tolerate alcohol, i’ve read about food intolerances & leaky gut & idk if i have any all i notice GI wise is my stomach gurgles alot!!! Now i would say i have normal bm movements but sometimes diarrhea rarely constipation

I have been suffering from horrifying anxiety on & off since the episode early this year. i feel like my body is always fearing for the worst & depression i just feel like something is wrong with me & doctors cant find out

Its just i had read about cfs & how these things can lead up to it & i am just so scared :( i’ve seen how horrible this disease is & i pray for all of you its horrifying to see how people suffer with this... i just need some reassurance i am worrying myself sick...
